DENVER – (June 15, 2015) – Denver Broncos’ Linebacker Von Miller and 21 Bronco celebrity racers were busy at The Track at Centennial Monday, June 15, for Miller's First Annual Celebrity Go-Kart Grand Prix.
For one afternoon only, Denver Broncos Kenny Anunike, Lerentee McCray, Brandon Marshall, Gerald Rivers, Shane Ray, Ben Garland,Lamin Barrow, Daivid Burton Jr., Kayvon Webster, Brandon McManus, Shaquil Barrett, Steven Johnson, Josh Bush, David Burton, Brandon McManus, Danny Trevathan and Ronnie Hillman joined Miller to trade the football field for the racetrack to benefit Von’s cause. In addition to head-to-head racing with Miller and his Broncos teammates, racers indulged in some of Denver’s best food trucks, such as Simply Pizza, 5280 Sliders, and BTO Self-Serve Froyo and walked away with souvenir tee shirts and swag bags full of goodies. The Go-Kart Grand Prix was made possible with generous sponsors GTRI, Citrix, and Pepsi.
The foundation's mission is to provide low-income Denver children with the eyecare and corrective eyewear needed to be their best in the classroom and in life. Next up, Von will host Back to School Vision Day to provide 300 pre-selected Denver students in need with eye exams and eyewear to start the school year right.
