In 2012, Denver Broncos' All-Pro Linebacker Von Miller started Von's Vision
, a charity that focuses on helping underprivileged kids in the Denver community by connecting them with optical care professionals to give them corrective lenses. Since childhood, Miller has worn glasses himself, and knows the importance a good pair of glasses can be for education.
This spring, Miller hosted Von's Vision Day, a two-part event where they performed eye screenings and necessary eye exams for more than 160 children from Denver-are Boys and Girls Clubs. 100 kids ended up needing corrective eyewear, which Von's Vision produced.
"Giving the gift of sight, it's a true blessing to be in a position to do that," Miller said on his blog
. "I?m grateful for everyone involved and I'm grateful for the kids, accepting the glasses and wearing them. Everyone's going to feel cool after leaving today with a nice new pair of glasses. I feel nothing but excitement thinking about the future of the foundation."

On April 13, Von then headed to Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium to distribute the eyewear to the kids. "To see this happening right now, I can't describe how much it means to me," Miller said. "I am so appreciative of everyone who made Von's Vision Day a reality."
Schomp Honda is excited to partner with Von's Vision this month to help raise money and awareness about this awesome charity. For every NEW LIKE on the Schomp Honda Facebook page, we will donate $1 to Von's Vision.
"The mission of Von?s Vision is to better the vision of Denver-area youth by providing them needed eye examinations and eyewear to succeed in the classroom and in life. For more information, visit vonmiller.org"
